Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at an extremely low level. A very small bipolar flux region rotated over the South East limb yesterday and shows a small pore, but the visible disk is otherwise spotless. No flares have occurred since the last message and no change in flaring activity is expected in the next 24-hour period. The Max Millennium Program continues supporting the PSP 7th perihelion passage by the target remaining as the PSP model-consensus magnetic-footpoint location in the North East quadrant.
The approximate position of this region on 10-Jan-2021 at 21:00 UT is:
N30E75 , ( -816", 502" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
