Dear Collaborators,
There has been a series of A-class flares since the last message due to the appearance of the new compact region in the southeast quadrant. The region is unnumbered and appears to be spotless, but does comprise some bipolar plage. It shall continue as the target region with a chance for further A-level activity over the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target region on 8-Feb-2021 at 12:30 UT is:
S31E72, ( -795", -469" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
