Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has started to increase since the last message due to the appearance of a new active region that is currently behind the northeast limb. The region has produced several occulted A-class flares and shall be the new target region. Chance for increased activity as the region rotates onto the visible solar disk.
The approximate position of the target region on 17-Feb-2021 at 12:30 UT is:
N22E86, ( -897", 369" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
