Subject: MM#021 Parker Solar Probe P

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at an extremely low level. The visible disk continues to be devoid of spots, and a few low B-class flares have occurred since the last message (from a new small flux region that has just emerged as it rotated up to the North West limb). No change in flaring activity is expected in the following 24 hours. The Max Millennium Program maintains its support of the Parker Solar Probe (PSP) 8th perihelion passage. The model-consensus magnetic-footpoint location of PSP has changed from the last message, tracking northwards to now target the polar coronal hole.
The approximate position of this region on 4-May-2021 at 21:00 UT is:
N48W64 , ( 579", 723" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
