Dear Collaborators,
Dear Collaborators, Target region NOAA 2978 (E-type/beta) is slowly decaying especially within its intermediate and trailing portions. 2978 was the source of a minor C1.3 at 04/06/04:20 UT. NOAA 2981 located just south of 2978 (S25W43, C-type/beta)) produced a C1.3 event at 04/06/06:23 UT. 2981 is also decaying. The largest event since the last message was a C3.1 at 04/06/10:27 UT. The event was limb occulted at N14 degrees. C-class events possible in the next 24 hour period. The position of NOAA 2978 on April 06 at 14:00 UT is: S19W44 (Solar X =632", Solar Y = -240") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
