Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. The target region NOAA 13040 has increased slightly in spot area since the last message and remains classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group. This region was again the source of B-class flares since the last message, including the largest event in the period (a B7.0 on 28-Jun-2022 at 07:47 UT). Additional B-class flares are expected over the following 24-hour period, with a small chance for an isolated C-class flare. The position of NOAA 13040 on 28-Jun-2022 at 12:30 UT is: S13W18 , ( 284", -252" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
