Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. Target region NOAA 13077 decayed slightly since the last message, losing penumbra to become classified as a beta/B-type sunspot group. This region has shown no activity in the period while frequent C-class activity was produced by newly numbered NOAA 13079, including the largest magnitude flares (a C6.8 and C6.7 both on 13- Aug-2022 at 07:14 UT and 12:30 UT, respectfully). NOAA 13079 is classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group and becomes the new target region. Further C-class activity is expected over the following 24-hour period. The position of NOAA 13079 on 13-Aug-2022 at 15:30 UT is: S11W22 , ( 349" , -278" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
