Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at high levels with NOAA 13088 having produced an M8.6 flare at 10:48 UT today, as well as two other mid-M flares since the last message. The region is now located behind the southwest limb and its size and magnetic configuration are no longer known. However it shall remain the target region with a Major Flare Watch in effect. Chance remains for an additional >M5 flare in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13088 on 29-Aug-2022 at 11:30 UT is: S27W91, ( 845", -425" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
