Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a very low level. The largest event since the last message was a C2.8 flare at 09/10/23:49 UT produced by the newly emerged region as mentioned in the last message, now being numbered as NOAA 13100. 13100 also produced another 7 low C-class flares. Today the target will switch to this region, which has a beta/C-type configuration. Yesterday's target NOAA 13098 retains a beta/C-type classification and was the source of two C1 flares during the period. Additional C-class activities are expected in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 13100 on September 11 at 07:30 UT is: S25E44 (-601", -478") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
