Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 3270 (D-type/beta gamma S23W41) is decaying, losing sunspot area, sunspot count, and magnetic complexity. 3270 produced a lone C1.0 event at 04/05/04:18 UT. The target will switch to a region located beyond the southeast limb that was the source of four limb occulted C-class events. The largest two were a C1.8 at 04/05/12:17 UT and a C1.8. at 04/05/17:52. Additional C-class events possible in the next 24 hours. There is only a slight chance of an isolated low-level M-class event. The approximate position of the target on April 05 at 15:45 UT is: S26E90 (-862", -417") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
