Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target region NOAA 13576 decayed slightly since the last message, becoming classified as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type sunspot group. This region again produced multiple C-class flares in the period along with an M1.0 flare on 14-Feb-2024 at 07:26 UT - the joint largest magnitude flare along with an M1.0 from NOAA 13582 (a beta/D-type group) on 14-Feb-2024 at 03:02 UT. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13576 for what might be a final 24 hours because it still retains a delta spot. C-class flares are expected in the next 24 hours, with a good chance for low M-class activity and a small chance of an isolated >M5 flare. The position of NOAA 13576 on 14-Feb-2024 at 17:00 UT is: S17W60 , ( 809", -228" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
