Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sun, 31 Jan 2010 08:27:46 -0800 MM#009 Default HESSI Target Dear RHESSI Collaborators, The EFR in the NE quadrant mentioned yesterday has grown rapidly and is now numbered NOAA 1043. At this time it is a D-type sunspot group with a beta magnetic configuration. It was the source of a few B-class events with the largest a B4.8 at 01/31/05:03 UT. At this time, the target region will switch from decaying NOAA 1041 to NOAA 1043. B-class events expected with a good chance for a C-class event today. The position of NOAA 1043 on January 31 at 16:00UT is: N27E26 (Solar X = 381", Solar Y = 522") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
