MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity is at a very low level. The current visible solar disk is spotless. The target is the plage remnant of old NOAA 1057 in its third rotation. The target region has a large dark filament located along the main plage magnetic inversion line. No significant solar activity expected today.

The position of the target on May 16 at 14:00 UT is: N16E80 (Solar X = -900", Solar Y = 268")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
