The target is an active region remnant (the third disk passage of old NOAA 1057) and its large dark plage filament located along the region's main magnetic inversion line. No significant solar activity expected today. The position of the target on May 18 at 09:00 UT is: N16E57 (Solar X = -766", Solar Y = 282") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
