MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The reversed polarity target EFR, now numbered NOAA 1078, continues in growth phase. 1078 rapidly increased in sunspot count, sunspot area, and magnetic complexity with mixed polarities located in the trailing portion. The region was the source of numerous B-class events - the largest was a B5.1 at 06/09/06:15 UT. Additional B-class events certain with the chance of a C-class event today.

The position of NOAA 1078 on June 09 at 13:00UT is: S22W53 (Solar X = 701", Solar Y = -358")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
