Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sun, 8 Aug 2010 11:49:28 -0700 MM#009 Default HESSI Target Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Target region, NOAA 1093, was the source of a large two-ribbon flare. The X-ray event maxed at M1.0 at 08/07/18:24 UT. The event was associated with a Type II radio burst, CME, and an EUV wave. 1093 is the return of old NOAA 1087. 1087 produced several C-class events during its disk transit. The magnetic configuration is mostly unchanged since the last message. 1093 is displaying H-alpha plage brightness fluctuations. B-class events probable with the chance of an isolated C-class event in the next 24 hours. Another M-class event in the next 24 hours is unlikely. The position of NOAA 1093 on August 08 at 18:00 UT is: N10E19 (Solar X = -304", Solar Y = 067") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
