MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Recently emerged NOAA 1096 will become the default target today. 1096 has developed rapidly over the past 24 hours. The region is bright in H-alpha images. Its spot group is currently classified as a C-type with a beta magnetic classification. B-class activity probable with a slight chance of an isolated C-class event if the region continues in growth phase.

The position of NOAA 1096 on August 10 at 13:30 UT is: N22W22 (Solar X = 413", Solar Y = 267")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
