Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sat, 14 Aug 2010 08:34:27 -0700 MM#009 Default HESSI Target Dear RHESSI Collaborators, The EFR located within the trailing polarity flux of NOAA 1093 grew rapidly and was the source of a long duration C4.4 event at 08/14/10:05 UT. The region is now numbered NOAA 1099. 1099 continues in growth phase displaying a strong arch-type filament system and bright H-alpha plage and a mixed magnetic configuration. Another C-class event possible with a slight chance of an isolated M-class event if growth continues. The position of NOAA 1099 on August 14 at 15:00 UT is: N17W50 (Solar X = 695", Solar Y = 208") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
