MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 1106 has an EFR located near its leader sunspot but the region remains mostly quiescent. There is a new region on the SE limb. The region is too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic  complexity but it is the source of frequent B-class events. The target will switch to the east limb region today. B-class events expected with a C-class event likely today and even a slight possibility of an isolated M-class event in the next few days.

The position of the target on September 16 at 05:00 UT is: S29E85 (Solar X = -832", Solar Y = -468")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
