Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity remains low. There was a long-duration B2.3 flare (from 14:00 UT on 6-Dec-2010 to 04:00 UT on 7-Dec-2010) associated with a large filament lift-off in the southeast quadrant. The target region, NOAA 11131, continues to increase in size but retains its alpha configuration and has remained quiescent over the past 24 hours. Isolated low-level events possible.

The position of NOAA 11131 on 7-Dec-2010 at 15:00 UT is:

N31E06, ( -87", 502" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
