Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar flare activity is at a low level. NOAA regions 11141 and 11142 both have bipolar beta magnetic classifications, with 11142 showing the most spots and greatest area coverage. NOAA 11142 has been the source of several B-class flares and a C1.1 flare on 3-Jan-2011 at 23:26 UT. More B-class activity is expected, with a chance for another C-class flare.

The position of NOAA 11142 on 4-Jan-2011 at 12:00 UT is:

S13W00, ( -6", -164" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
