Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sun, 9 Jan 2011 10:20:34 -0800 MM#009 Default HESSI Target Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar flare activity remains at a very low level. The target region, NOAA 1140, produced a minor B1.3 event at 01/09/13:51 UT. 1140 has decayed somewhat within its trailing polarity portion. Solar flare activity is expected to continue at very low levels. A B-class event is still possible today. The position of NOAA 1140 on January 9 at 17:30 UT is: N33W46 (Solar X = 589", Solar Y = 570") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
