MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar flare activity continues at a very low level. There is an emerging flux region located in the southeast quadrant. The EFR is currently displaying a beta magnetic configuration, bright H-alpha plage and a small arch-type filament system. We'll switch to the EFR from the spotless plage/filament target today. Only minor solar flare activity is expected at this time.

The position of the target region on May 14 at 10:15 UT is: S24E21 (Solar X = -312", Solar Y = -348")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,
