Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sun, 29 May 2011 11:07:11 -0700 MM#009 Default HESSI Target Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Target region, NOAA 1226, was the source of countless C-class events and two M-class events (M1.1 at 05/28/21:50 and an M1.4 at 05/29/10:30 UT). The M1.4 event was associated with a large CME blasting off the east limb. 1226 has a D-type sunspot group with a beta-gamma magnetic configuration. C-class events certain with a good chance for another M-class event as well in the next 24 hours. A region located just east of 1226 at S19E75 appears to have reversed polarity. The position of NOAA 1226 on May 29 at 15:00 UT is: S21E60 (Solar X = -767", Solar Y = -332") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
