Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 11236 was the source of an eruptive C7 flare earlier today as its large central filament erupted. Although the active region remains largely unchanged, the two spots that once formed the leading sunspot have merged into one large leader spot and have retained the large penumbra. In addition, small scale flux emergence close to the trailing spot, along with a new AR developing to the east of the region makes it a good candidate for further C class activity.

The position of NOAA 11236 on 21-Jun-2011 at 15:30 UT is:

N17W16 ( 249", 250" )
