Subject: MM#017 ROSA Flare Observing Date: Tue, 12 Jul 2011 12:59:19 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity remains at low levels. New data show that that the C2.6 flare yesterday was a result of sympathetic flaring between NOAA 11247 and NOAA 11249. The target region shall therefore revert back to NOAA 11247, now classified as a beta-gamma region with a strong magnetic gradient in its core. Chance for one or two isolated low level events. The position of NOAA 11247 on 12-Jul-2011 at 12:00 UT is: S18W35, ( 518", -344" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
