Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Wed, 20 Jul 2011 08:22:53 -0700 MM#009 Default HESSI Target Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar flare activity is maintaining a low level - only B-class events in the last 24 hour period. The target region (NOAA 1254) was the source of most of the B events with the largest a B7.2 at 07/20/10:00 UT. 1254 is slowly increasing sunspot area and count. The region has a D-type/beta sunspot group and is currently displaying a weak arch-type filament system with minor bright disk surges. B-class events probable with a slight chance of an isolated C-class event as well. The position of NOAA 1254 on July 20 10:30 UT is: S22W10 (Solar X = 152", Solar Y = -425") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
