Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Thu, 21 Jul 2011 10:10:10 -0700 MM#009 Default HESSI Target Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar flare activity remains low. The largest event was B8.3 produced by target region NOAA 1254 at 07/20/15:51 UT. 1254 lost sunspot area in the leading portion but gained penumbral area in the trailing portion. It currently has a C-type/beta sunspot group. NOAA located at N25E33 is also developing new flux in its trailing portion. Both target region 1254 and 1259 may produce a C-class event in the next 24 hour period. The position of NOAA 1254 on July 21 at 15:30 UT is: S22W26 (Solar X = 385", Solar Y = -420") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
