Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The solar disk continues to be very quiet today. However, there are now two regions approaching the east limb - one in the north and one in the south. Both of these regions have produced occulted C flares in the past 24 hours are are likely to continue to do so. Today's target will continue to be the newly numbered NOAA 11271 on the north eastern limb as STEREO B observations indicate that it is slightly closer to the solar limb. In addition, it is possible to ascertain the presence of at least one large sunspot, although the magnetic complexity remains indeterminate.

The position of NOAA 11271 on 15-Aug-2011 15:30 UT is:

N11E87 ( -929", 174" )
