Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Tue, 16 Aug 2011 08:57:51 -0700 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Activity is beginning to increase as NOAA 11271 and the still unnumbered region on the south east limb rotate onto the disk. NOAA 11271 is showing signs of significant complexity: multiple large sunspots and multipolar topology. This region which is bright in H-alpha, EUV and X-rays will most likely continue to produce C class activity. In addition, some M-class activity may be possible. The position of NOAA 11271 on 16-Aug-2011 15:30 UT is: N17E65 ( -822", 230" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
