Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Thu, 18 Aug 2011 09:08:36 -0700 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity continues at moderate levels with continued C class activity from NOAA 11271 and 11272. Although both regions are likely to flare, NOAA 11271 will continue as today's target. Its beta-gamma-delta magnetic configuration, bright H-alpha along the magnetic inversion line and multiple large, penumbral sunspots make it the best candidate for >=M class activity. The position of NOAA 11271 on 18-Aug-2011 15:30 UT is: N16E41 ( -599", 178" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
