Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity has returned to low levels with NOAA 11290 now over the limb and NOAA 11295 in decay. There is a new active region approaching the eastern limb which has already produced two C1 flares and shall be the new target region. The unnumbered region is evident in magnetogram images but its exact magnetic configuration is uncertain at this time. Good chance for increased activity as the region rotates onto the visible disk.

The approximate position of the target regionĀ on 18-Sep-2011 at 09:30 UT is:

N24E88, ( -872", 382" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
