Subject: MM#003 Major Flare Watch" - Date: Sat, 5 Nov 2011 14:17:52 +0000 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, NOAA 11339 has continued to be flare productive and has grown in area and number of spots, evolving into an F-type/beta-gamma-delta sunspot group classification. This region has produced three M-class events in the past 24 hours, the largest being an M3.7 flare on 5-Nov-2011 at 03:08 UT. The Major Flare Watch campaign remains in place as this region has the potential to produce another >M5 flare in the next 24 hours, particularly if further growth and/or flux emergence occurs. The position of NOAA 11339 on 5-Nov-2011 at 14:30 UT is: N19E37, ( -553", 265" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
