Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Mon, 26 Dec 2011 09:36:47 +0000 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity has increased significantly over the last 24 hours due to a newly emerged region in the southwest quadrant, designated NOAA 11387, which shall be the new target region. It has produced several C-level events as well as two M-class flares. The region comprises a circular sunspot group with a complex magnetic configuration. Good chance for further intermediate level activity. The position of NOAA 11387 on 26-Dec-2011 at 08:00 UT is: S22W33, ( 494", -336" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
