Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Fri, 6 Jan 2012 11:39:39 +0000 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, The level of solar activity remains very low. NOAA region 11389 has decayed significantly in the past 24 hours. The largest flare since the last message was a C2.1 event on 5-Jan-2012 at 11:51 UT from NOAA 11392, classed as a beta/B-type sunspot group. Although this region is primarily comprised of diffuse negative polarity plage field, positive flux emergence was recorded during the two days prior to the C2.1 flare. Further C-class activity possible if the region continues to add positive flux. The position of NOAA 11392 on 6-Jan-2012 at 11:30 UT is: N21W25, ( 390", 402" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
