Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Sat, 5 May 2012 09:36:05 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity has begun to increase due to the appearance of a new active region on the eastern limb. The region has produced several C-class flares since the last message, but its magnetic configuration is uncertain at this time. The as-yet unnumbered region may also have been the source of a large CME observed over the eastern limb in LASCO images on 3-May-2012. Further C-level activity likely over the next 24 hours with the possibility of an M-class flare. The position of the target region on 5-May-2012 at 08:00 UT is: N13E87, ( -925", 217" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
