Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Thu, 17 May 2012 09:49:21 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, The target region, NOAA 11476, produced an unexpected M5.1 flare at 01:30 UT today, which resulted in a >100 MeV proton storm. As the region is now on the western limb further major flaring activity is unlikely. However, NOAA 11476 shall remain the target region with a chance of producing additional low-to-intermediate level activity before west limb passage. The position of NOAA 11476 on 17-May-2012 at 09:00 UT is: N13W78, ( 905", 221" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
