MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 1520 continues in decay phase declining in sunspot count and area. It also appears to have lost its magnetic complexity resulting in a new simple E-type/beta region classification. The target position today includes NOAA 1519 located just west of 1520. C-class events probable with only a slight chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 1520/1519 on July 16 at 15:00 UT is: S17W62 (Solar X = 779", Solar Y = -309")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
