Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The level of solar activity remains very low. A new region has emerged in the North East quadrant, developing several clear spots in the past 24 hours. This unnumbered region appears to have a beta magnetic class with well-developed coronal loops, and is currently forming penumbrae. B-class activity is possible in the following 24 hours, with a chance for some low C-class events if further magnetic flux emerges.

The approximate position of this region on 24-Aug-2012 at 10:00 UT is:

N16E22, ( -347", 157" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
