MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar flare activity is very low with only minor B-class events during the past 24 hours. The northeastern target region has rotated fully on the disk. It is a decaying plage with a simple B-type/beta sunspot group with two spots. The target will switch to NOAA 1555. 1555 has a D-type/beta sunspot group with about 20 spots. A minor C-class event is possible in the next 24 hour period.

The position of NOAA 1555 on August 28 at 13:00 UT is: N08E35 (Solar X = -541", Solar Y = 035")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
