MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

The target region now numbered NOAA 1563 was the source of C-class events in the past 24 hours. 1563 appears to have decayed after its east limb passage. NOAA regions 1554, N16W75, 1560, N03E12, and the unnumbered region at S15E76 also produced C-class events. The most interesting region is NOAA 1560 which has developed a somewhat magnetically complex D-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. C-class events probable with an isolated M-class event possible in the next 24 hour period.

The position of NOAA 1560 on August 31 at 17:00 UT is: N03E12 (Solar X = -198", Solar Y = -067")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
