MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Several regions were the source of C-class events in the past 24 hours. The largest since the last message was a C3.1 produced by target region NOAA 1652. 1652 has an E-type/beta-gamma sunspot group with the brightest plage on the visible disk. A large sunspot (NOAA 1654) has rotated over the northeast limb at N08 degrees. It is too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration. C-class activity from several regions is likely with a chance of an isolated M-class event from target region 1652 in the next 24 hour period.

The position of NOAA 1652 on January 08 at 14:00 UT is: N17E42 (Solar X = -626", Solar Y = 332")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
