MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Target region NOAA 1652 is decaying. The new target will be the large region (NOAA 1654) located in the northeast quadrant. 1654 is currently classified as a large E-type/beta sunspot group. 1654 was the source of a few C-class events in the past 24 hours. The largest was a C3.1 at 01/09/14:55 UT. Continued C-class activity expected with a chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hour period.

The position of NOAA 1654 on January 09 at 14:00 UT is: N08E63 (Solar X = -862", Solar Y = 166")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
