MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar flare activity continues at a low level - no significant flares in the past several days. NOAA 1654 is mostly unchanged. It is a large F-type/beta-gamma region with patches of bright H-alpha plage. The mixed polarity is located within its intermediate portion. C-class activity probable with the chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 1654 on January 16 at 14:00 UT is: N06W27 (Solar X = 441", Solar Y = 173")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
