MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

A new region numbered NOAA 1675 yesterday afternoon developed rapidly in the past 12 hours. It is currently a D-type/beta-gamma region with small but significant mixed polarities located within its intermediate portion. It was the source of an impulsive M1.9 event today at 15:50 UT. C-class events expected with the chance of another M-class event if growth continues in the next 24 hour period.

The position of NOAA 1675 on February 17 at 14:00 UT is: N12E23 (Solar X = -372", Solar Y = 307")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
