MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar flare activity was again at very low levels for the past 24 hours. NOAA 1682, S18W38 is maintaining its stable and quiescent D-type/beta classification. New target region NOAA 1683 has switched from a stable phase to growth phase with new flux emerging within its trailing and intermediate portions where there is minor mixed polarity. 1683 is currently displaying a D-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. B-class events expected with the chance of a C-class event in the next 24 hour period.

The position of NOAA 1683 on March 01 at 14:00 UT is: S16E60 (Solar X = -807", Solar Y = -206")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
