Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar activity is generally at a low level. Yesterday's newly numbered region NOAA 11686 has continued emerging new magnetic flux. This region is classified by NOAA as a beta/D-type sunspot group, but looks to have a beta-gamma magnetic classification. NOAA 11686 has produced several B-class events in the previous 24 hours, in addition to an M1.2 flare on 5-Mar-2013 at 07:47 UT. Further B-class activity is expected, with a chance for some high C-class events or an isolated low M-class event.

The position of NOAA 11686 on 5-Mar-2013 at 14:30 UT is:

S13W54, ( 764", -146" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
