Subject: MM#009 Default HESSI Target Date: Fri, 21 Jun 2013 13:22:31 +0100 Dear RHESSI Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low-to-moderate level. Yesterday's target region has now been designated as NOAA 11777 with an alpha/H-type sunspot group classification. This region appears to have a dominant negative-polarity leading spot with one or two negative-polarity intermediate spots, and a positive-polarity trailing plage (i.e., a reversed magnetic polarity for the southern hemisphere). NOAA 11777 was the source of an M2.9 flare on 21-Jun-2013 at 02:30 UT. C-class activity is expected over the following 24 hours, with a chance for another low M-class event. The position of NOAA 11777 on 21-Jun-2013 at 12:30 UT is: S16E59, ( -780", -275" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
