MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar flare activity is very low. The background x-ray flux is currently at the B2.2 level. The east limb target region was the source of minor B-class events. The largest was a B6.1 at 09/16/22:22 UT. A moderate-sized leader sunspot is now visible on the southeastern limb. B-class events probable with a slight chance of an isolated C-class event but no significant events expected in the next 24 hours.

The position of the target on September 17 at 10:45 UT is: S17E85 (Solar X = -910", Solar Y = -287")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,
