MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar flare activity has been at a low level since the X2 event produced by default target region NOAA 1875 yesterday. The background x-ray flux is currently flat at the B5 level. 1875 has completed west limb passage. The new target is NOAA 1884. 1884 is currently classified as an E-type region with a beta-gamma-delta magnetic configuration. C-class events are possible with the chance of an isolated M-class event in the next 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 1884 on October 30 at 20:30 UT is: S13E26 (Solar X = -414", Solar Y = -284")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
